Helping Aesthetic Practices Thrive

Why Astra Culture Exists

Most clinic owners did not go into medicine to run a business. They went in to do the work, and the business arrived attached to it: payroll, scheduling, marketing, staff turnover, devices that need to earn their keep. Astra Culture exists because that second job is learnable, and almost nobody is taught it.

Our founder built and exited his own clinics before ever advising anyone else’s, which shapes how we work. We do not hand over a strategy deck and leave. We build the systems, train the team who has to run them, and stay through implementation, because a plan nobody executes is not worth what you paid for it.

The principle underneath all of it is empowerment rather than overwhelm. You should finish working with us knowing how your practice runs and able to keep it running, not dependent on a consultant to tell you what happens next. That is the difference between advice and capability, and capability is what we are selling.

Today, Astra Culture works with medical spas, wellness clinics, and specialty practices across surgery, OB/GYN, chiropractic, and dental practices, in multiple countries. We have guided over 2,500 practices, and the team below is who does that work.

If that sounds like the kind of help you are after, the fastest way to find out is a 15-minute discovery call.

Leadership

CEO and Founder

Sam Patel, M.D., M.B.A.

Sam is a builder by instinct, with a track record of growing, scaling, and exiting medical ventures. He has owned and operated 7-figure medical clinics,* expanded a healthcare brand to 12 locations across Illinois, and exited those clinics to focus on consulting and innovation full-time. That sequence matters: he ran the businesses he now advises, and he sold them rather than talking about them.

He founded Astra Culture to give clinic owners the systems he had to work out the hard way. The firm specializes in growth for medical spas, wellness clinics, and specialty practices including surgery, OB/GYN, chiropractic, and dental, combining staff training, technology implementation, operational structure, and marketing strategy. Its footprint is global, with clients across multiple countries.

Sam is also Co-Founder and CEO of Looped, a mobile app rebuilding patient education around short-form video. Looped replaces the pre- andpost-caree handouts patients never read with content they actually retain, improving compliance and retention while automating follow-up. His work has been featured in LA Weekly, Maxim, USA Today, Haute Living, and more than 25 outlets in total.

Elysia Coventry
Co-Founder, Business and Operations

Elysia Coventry

Elysia brings more than 20 years across the healthcare industry, spanning radiology, physical therapy, laboratory services, and private medical practice. That range is unusual, and it is why she can walk into almost any clinic and recognize the operational problem quickly.

After raising two children, she partnered with Dr. Sam Patel to launch a start-up medical spa in her small rural Illinois community. The practice generated over $400,000 in revenue within its first six months* and expanded to two locations, a result that would be strong in a metro market and was remarkable in a rural one. She later exited the med spas and co-founded Astra Culture. Known for her strength in patient care, communication, and practical problem-solving, Elysia leads the business and operations side of the firm.

Medical Director

Charmi Patel, M.D., M.B.A.

Charmi came to Astra Culture from hospital medicine, where she worked as a hospitalist and saw both sides of the problem the firm exists to solve. She knows the pressure clinicians carry, the long hours and the weight of the decisions, and she also saw how much of the strain came from inefficiency, poor communication, and missed opportunities for patient education.

As Medical Director, she serves as clinical investigator for innovative treatments, which keeps the firm’s recommendations grounded in what is clinically sound rather than what is commercially convenient. Her focus is on solutions that reduce burnout and improve outcomes, built on human-centered design, cultural competency, and scientific rigor.

Consulting Team

Mitch Adkins

Senior Practice Consultant

Mitch works with cash-pay clinics to turn patient experience into a growth engine. The pattern he sees repeatedly is a clinic spending heavily to attract new patients, then losing them somewhere between the first call and the second appointment because no system exists to carry them across. The marketing works. The handoff does not.

Drawing on a background in luxury hospitality and high-ticket medical sales, Mitch builds hospitality and sales systems for clinics in aesthetics, wellness, regenerative medicine, and dentistry. The result is higher treatment acceptance, stronger retention, and steadier revenue, achieved without discounting or pressure tactics.

Aga

Aga Chojan

Associate Consultant

Aga is a healthcare operations professional with a background in clinical administration and practice management, built in boutique clinical settings where she worked directly alongside clinicians and staff to keep day-to-day operations running cleanly.

She believes thoughtful processes, clear communication, and well-supported teams are what a successful practice is actually built on. Her work focuses on creating systems that free clinicians to concentrate on patient care while the practice grows underneath them.

Katelyn

Katelyn Tran

Associate Consultant

Katelyn brings several years of experience across the healthcare industry, with experience spanning clinical care and sales. Working closely with both providers and patients gave her a clear view of how clinics operate and where the pressure points sit in delivering consistent quality.

That position at the intersection of care and commerce shapes how she works. She focuses on how patient experience, communication, and operational systems affect outcomes and growth together, rather than treating them as separate problems.

Operations

Jessie Nguyen

Executive Assistant

Jessie supports executive leadership at Astra Culture, aligning priorities, coordinating cross-functional work, and keeping execution moving across the organization. Her background in marketing and business means she brings both analytical and creative thinking to the work.

She is known for speed, precision, and judgment, translating strategy into action and making sure decisions taken at the leadership level actually land in the day-to-day.

Alex

Alex Estes

Solutions Specialist

Alex is a relationship-driven sales professional with a clinical background and a record of performing in demanding roles. He came from the mortgage industry, where he delivered results through consultative selling and by making complicated decisions feel manageable for clients, which built his strengths in trust-building and problem-solving.

He thrives in fast-moving environments and is focused on delivering outcomes that matter, learning quickly, and supporting the team around him. Underneath it is a straightforward commitment to helping people, which is what makes the sales part work.
